| Babies have been on my mind a lot lately. That is, of course, because there are lots of them in my new book, THE BABY CHRONICLES.
THE WHITNEY CHRONICLES, which was released in 2004, is the story of Whitney Blake, a savvy, witty Christian woman making her way through life, managing her career and her friendships and finding the love of her life, Dr. Chase Andrews. Whitney got her man and married him in that book, but many of my readers said they wanted to know more about Whitney and her friends. That was the impetus for The Baby Chronicles. What happens when three happily married women—Whitney, Mitzi and Kim—decide they all want to have a baby? Lots of laughter, craziness, tears, joys and disappointments, that’s what! It was an absolute delight for me to revisit the characters from The Whitney Chronicles and discover for myself what came “next” in their lives. I’ve written a lot of books, but the characters in these particular books are some of my favorites. I believe that Christianity is about joy and challenge, faith and blessing—and that’s what the woman of The Baby Chronicles experience over and over again. They struggle with infertility and the idea of adoption as well as baby-making the old-fashioned way. I hope that The Baby Chronicles makes you smile—or laugh out loud!
